Tony Del Aversano is a PhD student studying gender and sexuality in late Italian medieval art, with interests in manuscript history, historiography, and the Sienese School. He holds a BA in Art History from Fairfield University and a MA in Art History from the City University of New York, Queens College. His MA thesis was entitled “Turmoil of the Psyche: Societal Influences on Botticelli’s Visual Representation of His Same-Sex Desire.”
